Purpose of the Programme

The National Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) 2019 launched in March 2019, is an initiative by the Ministry of Finance(MOF) in collaboration with the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia (Rehda).

The programme aims to increase homeownership amongst Malaysians by allowing a limited-time stamp duty exemption for residential property purchases. This campaign is also aimed at resolving the huge property overhang which has hit 45,027 units valued at RM29.69billion at the end of 2018.

The HOC is open to all Malaysians buying residential properties priced between RM300,000 to RM2.5million.
