What is this programme about?
This monthly monetary aid is given to families who foster less fortunate or orphaned children. The government hopes to encourage families to foster these children and provide a good environment for them to grow and the monthly aid is to help reduce the financial burden of caring and providing for the child/children.
Who can apply?
General Eligibility Criteria

Resident in Malaysia

Children under the age 18 and below

Children who are orphaned
-
Children who are staying with foster families
-
Children who are not placed under the Child Adoption Act 1952
-
Children who are placed under foster Care Scheme
-
No fixed income limit for foster families.

Application process

Obtain application form > Complete form > Submit with all documents
* Application forms can be obtained (i) online (ii) at any Social Welfare Office District/Province/divisions across the country

What documents do I need for application?
The general requirement of documents needed for the application

Copy of the identity card (myKad) of the applicant

Copy of identity card/certificate of birth of family members who live with the applicant

Income Statement or Letter of Confirmation from (i) Employers/Income Declaration (ii) If Self-employed - Reports from other relevant agencies

Other income supporting documents (If any) Socso/Epf/Pension/Investment Book

Copy of Utility Bill (Water/Electricity/Phone/Astro etc)
