SOCSO Haemodialysis Aid
Free Haemodialysis treatment for SOCSO contributors
Posted on February 02, 2020
What is this programme about?
Purpose of the Programme
In accordance with the Employees' Social Security Act, SOCSO provides haemodialysis facilities, financial aid and support for qualified SOCSO insured Malaysians with chronic renal disease. Treatment is provided free of charge at any SOCSO dialysis panel centres, government hospital and approved private dialysis centres.
SOCSO also reimburses the Insured Person who undergoes haemodialysis treatment at non-SOCSO dialysis panel centres and government hospitals (please refer to SOCSO's terms and conditions).
SOSCO's free of charge haemodialysis treatment was first introduced in 1999 to help contributors suffering from end-stage renal failure with financing the cost of dialysis. Currently, SOCSO is the largest provider of dialysis, treating 18,000 patients annually.
