What is this programme about?  

In 2014, the government introduced Skim Perumahan Mampu Milik Swasta,  otherwise known as MyHome1, to assist low-income households to own a home. Under this scheme, private property developers are offered a per unit subsidy amount of RM30,000 to build and sell low and low medium-cost homes to qualified applicants. These affordable homes are divided into two categories.

MyHome1 comprises of low-cost homes that are priced between RM50,000 to RM90,000 each.  The offered prices are approximately 33% to 60% lower than the market prices.

MyHome2 is for the lower middle-income households priced between RM90,000 to RM180,000 will cost buyers 17% to 33% less compared to market prices

  1. Malaysian citizen.

  2. Resident in Malaysia

  3. Married

  4. Age 18 years old and above

  5. Income group Household income between RM4,001 to RM6,000

  6. First-time house buyer

Target Group: Open to all medium-income households

Peninsular Malaysia - RM90,001 to RM170,000
Sabah & Sarawak - RM90,001 to RM220,000
Property Sale Price: Commercial price less RM30,000
Subsidy: RM30,000 offered to the private developer

Restrictions: Moratorium on sale – 10 years

What documents do I need for application?

  1. Copy of the identity card (myKad) of the applicant and spouse 

  2. Copy of identity card/certificate of birth of family members who live with the applicant

  3. Income Statement or Letter of Confirmation from     (i) Employers/Income Declaration (ii) If Self-employed - Reports from other relevant agencies 

  4. Other income supporting documents (If any): Socso/Epf/Pension/Investment Book

  5. Copy of Utility Bill (Water/Electricity/Phone/Astro etc) 

  6. Completed application form
