This homeownership programme provides both a one-off grant/subsidy amount of RM15,000 to RM20,000 and in addition, a subsidised home loan to poor households to build their house on the land that they own.
This programme focuses on lower income groups such as fishermen, farmers and poor families who are landowners earning between RM750 to RM3,000 per month who do not have a house or is living in dilapidated houses.
This programme is implemented through Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) which is commissioned to build subsidised houses that are priced between RM45,000 to RM65,000 per unit on the land owned by the successful applicant.
