What is this programme about?
In 2014, the government introduced Skim Perumahan Mampu Milik Swasta, otherwise known as MyHome1, to assist low-income households to own a home. Under this scheme, private property developers are offered a per unit subsidy amount of RM30,000 to build and sell low and low medium-cost homes to qualified applicants. These affordable homes are divided into two categories.
MyHome1 comprises of low-cost homes that are priced between RM50,000 to RM90,000 each. The offered prices are approximately 33% to 60% lower than the market prices.
while MyHome2 for the lower middle-income households priced between RM90,000 to RM180,000 will cost buyers 17% to 33% less compared to market prices

Property Commercial Price:
RM50,000 to RM90,000 (Peninsular Malaysia)
RM60,000 to RM100,000 (Sabah & Sarawak)
Property Sale Price: Commercial price less RM30,000
Subsidy: RM30,000 offered to the private developer
Restrictions: Moratorium on sale – 10 years
