What is this programme about?

My Farm Outlets, also known as My Best Buy Outlets, retail high-quality and low-priced locally produced daily essential groceries to urban residents to help lower the cost of living. The products sold at these retail outlets are locally produced agro-products and they are procured by FAMA from rural suppliers and farms through mini-RTCs and FAMA collection centres nationwide.  The products are directly sourced from farms, fishermen and SMEs, bypassing trade middlemen, hence the shortened supply chain translates into lower retail prices of goods to consumers.  Currently, there are 11 MyFarm Outlets operating nationwide and the government is planning to open another 20 outlets and they operate from 10 am to 10 pm daily.
