What is this programme about?
Kedai Rakyat Agrobazaar shops are entrepreneur-owned retail outlets under the supervision of FAMA that sells locally produced agro-products. Besides sourcing products from local SMEs, Agro-bazaar shops sell products of two widely accepted FAMA house brands, AgroMas and OleMas. According to a news report, as of March 2015, there were 381 Agro Bazaar Kedai Rakyat outlets nationwide with gross sales of RM203 million.
According to FAMA’s setup guidelines, products carried by these stores must comprise at least 30% of fresh goods and 70% of groceries consisting of 15 main items as follows:
